H&H Capitol Stairs
Got some of this in a trade and really enjoy it. It's described as a unique combination of mild, nutty Burley, sweet Virginia and Perique, and finished off with Deertongue. A fine VA/Burley blend IMO...... the VAs give it a nice, mild sweetness with the Deertongue giving it a very pleasing Vanilla-ish nose. The Burley provides a cool burning nutty base to round out the blend. All in all another winner, along with Annie Kake from pipesandcigars.com.

Re: H&H Capitol Stairs
I have some in a jar ready to smoke, but i haven't gotten to it yet.
The thing that really caught my attention was the deertongue, being as curious as I am a picked up a couple ounces of it to try. I would assume the bits of green leaves are deertongue? Anyways, is there really a distinguishing taste when it comes to the plant? Or does it just taste sort of like a vanilla casing? |

IMHO the most redeeming quality of this blend is there's no hint of any type of casing or topping. Not that I don't enjoy a flavored blend now and then, this just gives you a nice mild and vanillaish smoke without it.
