McClelland Royal Cajun Special

Just finished my second bowl in two days from this tin that I picked up while on sabatical from Hurricane Gustav.

I am a confirmed Va Va/Per lover so I bought the tin to test McClellands new "perique style fermentation tobacco" I must say that I enjoyed it.

It is not perique nor does it remotely taste like perique, however this is an excellent sweet/smokey tasting tobacco. The virginia is top notch as you would expect from McClelland (who happen to make Blackwoods Flake, which is my favorite tobacco of all time). RCS burns very well as it is almost perfect moisture level right out of the tin, also the wide ribbon cut makes it easy to pack with no rubbing out needed.

I must say that this will not be a regular in my rotation but it will be a blend that I visit from time to time, and I would say that this would be a fantastic choice for someone wanting to transition from aromatics to a virginia.

*** out of ****
