Couple of reviews

Boswell's Best: A very good aromatic. When you open the bag you get a hint of vanilla. A good, cool smoking tobacco. Very pleasant room note and not too strong. This is another cavendish blend you can smoke all day. No bite at all.

Boswell's Berry Cobbler: When I opened the bag on this, the fruity aroma was very strong. This is my least favorite of the Boswell tobaccos I have. It was a wet smoking tobacco, gurgling about 1/4 way down the bowl and didn't stop.
Also got a bit of a bite from this one. The flavors are definitely there, the berry flavors mixed well. It almost smelled like blueberry to me. I smoked this in three different pipes to make sure the wet wasn't due to a low grade pipe. It wasn't. Yet the taste of this tobacco is very good, with a bit of spice in there. Room note is great, can smoke this one inside and everyone likes it.

Boswell's Christmas Cookie: By far the best tobacco I've had yet. You open this bag and instantly get hungry (not sure if that's good or not). My family actually wanted me to smoke this one inside. The room note is great...very smooth and not at all too strong. The taste is incredible. You can taste the cavendish blend in here. You can also taste a caramel flavor...a bit hard to describe but it's there. A dry, cool smoke you can smoke all day, and I did!!
I only got 2 ounces of this, but more is on the way as I type this. I will definitely have this around all the time now. I think even some of the more experience pipe smokers would like this one. If you haven't tried it yet, you should.

Re: Couple of reviews

Yeah, I enjoyed the Christmas Cookie. I'm not an aromatic smoker but that one is nice to have around the house for company. I got a lot of compliments on that one and I did find myself opening the bag and sniffing a lot.

Thanks for the nice reviews.

Yeah, no need to dry Xmas Cookie out... i smell it all to much for it to retain any of its original moisture.

Thanks for the reviews. I've been meaning to order some Boswell blends; maybe this will tip me over the edge!

Christmas cookie didntdo much for me as far as taste. I could barely taste it at all. Plus a friend told me it smelled like a Black and Mild! Not so good.

That's why there's a jillion different pipe tobacco blends on the market - we all get to choose the ones that work for our taste.

I like Christmas Cookie ok but it didn't change my life. I also liked their Boswell's Best mentioned above. There's a point in the life of an aromatic tobacco where it reaches perfection in terms of taste and especially moistness (which I assume has much to do with the taste!). It's a relatively short period of time and then it dries too much and becomes a mess. Boswell's Best tasted like Lane's 1Q that had reached that point of perfection but, unlike 1Q, that point stayed for the entire month it took me to smoke an ounce of BB. In that fact, I found it interesting.
