Notes:

I received this baccy in a MAW sampler from Mad Hatter. He sent a generous amount. The baggy smelled quite peppery with some hints of tobac smell. The beginning was quite smooth with the baccy lighting up nice and easy. This baccy was quite dry however, and I think that may have led to it becoming less complex as the smoke went on. I am going to try re-hydrating it a little and have another go at it.

About halfway through, the baccy started really reminding me of a cigar. I enjoy full bodied, peppery cigars and that is exactly what this reminded me of. I have read it is smoother than it tasted to me, so I am wondering if this may be due to the dryness.

I enjoyed this vaper, though it does not hold a candle yet to Escudo or Anni Kake in my mind.

Still a solid blend from GLP.

Thanks for reading.

Re: GL Pease - Fillmore

I have a small tin of this coming - should be here saturday. I'm anxious to try it, although I've been largely unsuccessful in becoming a big appreciater of GLP blends so far. None of them have been bad, but they just leave me cold.

You're wise to rehydrate, I think. I usually smoke the tobaccos in various stages before I'm comfortable grading them. I always smoke the first pipeful of a new tin immediately upon cracking the tin. Then I try it in various stages of drying out before I decide my best enjoyment of the blend.

I agree that this is ideal. I plan on rehydrating it, but since I enjoyed it the way it was too, I didn't feel bad about going ahead and posting this review.

I enjoy Filmore myself. It does have just a pinch of Latakia in it however.

It's one of my very favorites. Did you pick up its creaminess towards the last half of the bowl? I get big impressions of cream and pepper. I'm not a heavy smoker, so this packs a huge nicotine punch for me.

I actually had most of the creamyness towards the beginning.

I tried rehydrating my sample, and it just got worse, so I tossed it.

I do have a fresh tin coming though, and I will update this with any other thoughts when I get a chance to try that.

I definitely liked it though.
