Presbyterian Froggie
I don't know if anyone else in these forums has also stumbled into this concoction before, but it certainly works for me. I was left with a remnant of some Frog Morton on the Bayou that was not enough to fill a bowl, so I took three parts Presbyterian Mixture and mixed that with the two parts FMOB. At least to my palate, this simple mix brings out the best in both blends. I don't know whooay, as Robin used to say. But I'm on my second bowl and have ordered more tins of both PM and FMOB so I can mix them again.

Re: Presbyterian Froggie
Ooh, no replies... Have I tampered in God's domain by creating a mutant frog?

Re: Presbyterian Froggie
Then let us draw smoke as we await damnation. BTW, don't worry that one is coarse cut and the other is ribbon, they mix just fine. You may want to begin with 4 parts PM to 1 part FMOTB (as opposed to my current preferred ratio of 3 to 2), to manage the perique in FMOTB a bit. Feedback from that baseline mix will let you know if it has potential for you. Happy (if accursed) puffing!

Ed:
The Mutant Frog is alive and well. Works for me. I've ordered a couple of tins of each I tried both ratios. I see what you mean about the perique. The latter blend works best for me. Thanks for the recommendation. ![]() Prof. Mike ![]()

Re: Presbyterian Froggie
Prof. Mike, this is a momentous occasion. It reminds me of the verification tests conducted in 1918, by a team headed by a British physicists, which proved Einstein's 1905 hypothesis to be a valid theory. Creepily enough, 1918, I believe, was the year in which PB was first blended in Britain. In your honor, the 4 to 1 blending ratio shall henceforth remain the recommended default setting. I hope it makes McClelland and William Solomon proud.
