I usually try to stay away from writing reviews regarding positive experiences I have had with any specific B&M or online store because most of my
experiences are positive and secondly, it could appear I may be affiliated with the company in some way. But I will make an exception in the case of aaameerschaum.com.

I arrived at the above site after running as search for B. J. Long 12" cleaners and never having owned a meer, bought a 25.00 model that was on sale. The only brand they sold was Paykoc which I later found some models that sold for several hundred dollars.

Attempting to make a long story short I received the pipe and clearers 3 days later and on the 2nd bowl I heard a "pop". I looked to see a crack that extended completely around the shank near the base of the bowl. I almost didn't bother to contact them as I assumed I would just be told I was smoking the pipe too fast or smoking the wrong tobacco, but I sent an email describing the above and within the hour recieved a reply that was signed by Altan Paykoc. It was a short message that simply instructed me to pick out another pipe in the same price range and he would "take care of it". Nothing was said concerning sending the 1st pipe back or even paying additional shipping charges. So I picked a pipe that was a litte larger and more conventional in shape costing a few dollars more and told him to add the difference to my CC. 2 days later the pipe arrive via priority mail with no additional charges and an apology for the problem I had with the first
pipe!!

So if anyone is looking for a relatively inexpensive (or very expensive) meer, you might check out www.aaameerschaum.com. Hopefully your pipe won't crack, but it's nice to know this merchant stands behind what he sells and doesn't waste any time doing so

ive been looking at some meers to take to college (so i can smoke them frequently -although i am not sure that taking a delicate pipe into a dorm room would be the best plan). thanks for pointing out a high quality site to order one from.

The pics from the website below are going to be of a much higher quality than what I could ever hope to produce. I believe the pipe I ended up with was #3713.
Hope that helps. I've already smoked 7 or 8 bowls with no hint of cracking and the bowl is cooler to the touch than any of my briars. No signs of coloring yet, but it's my understanding that can take a good deal of time with some pipes. http://www.aaameerschaum.com/

Oh Yeah. About the 3rd bowl which I loaded with a rather hot burning aromatic I began to hear sounds like Rice Krispies in milk. But believe it or not with a little cyanoacrolate glue it's still in one piece! Not really that pretty to look at though, unless one is really in to phalus symbols. But I couldn't believe how fast I got a new one, (a larger lattice with thicker walls that stays much cooler) and didn't even have to send the other one back.

This site only sells meers, lighters, flasks and other accessories of that type, but I will definitely be back when I need anything they stock. I think just about all pipe and tobacco dealers are honest people, but this guy was honestly fast as well
