What's the name of your company? My grandfather is a plant broker and owns his own business. Its called Bob Soos Company. You may have heard of it. He has lots of clients all over the U.S. and parts of Canada.

big_bish,

Our plant breeding and propagation company is the California-Florida Plant Co. located in Salinas, Calif. He may know of us, but I doubt we are doing business together since we make and sell most of our own plant material. But it is a small industry.

jsl,

Sorry, I can't help you with that part. Just remind yourself that it took that Habanos 24 to 36 months to get ready for you. A few extra minutes to get to the "sweet spot" on your stogie won't hurt you. :<)

Rjs, don't worry about it. I am beginning to get lost in this thread myself, and I started the damn thing!

J.J.,
Well, it's a long story. I've had several careers. I think I'll save the details for when we get together at our "Little Smoke" later in the year. But I'm glad you started this post. One of the best yet. What a group!

RE: What Kind of Work You In?

Well, when Im not engrossed in my studies at college (I dont know when that is exactly), I build custom hybrid mountain bikes for a sports store in town. I dont work but two days a week for about 4 hours a dayt, the only reason I have the stupid thing is because its fun!!! Then in my off time, I have a studio in my house, this is were the real fun begins. There have been many people that have walked through the doors a cigar virgin, and have left a enthausiast!!

I work at the Viking Corporation. They make fire suppression sprinkler systems. I do engineering work for both the sprinkler and valves division. I essentially keep ISO off their butts.

All that aside I'm hoping to go into secondary education. Maybe a history teacher.

Right now, I am a graduate student in Clinical Psychology. I work at a mental hospital on the crisis stabilization unit, on a part-time weekend basis. I also work in 2 different elementary schools as an intern psychologist, as part of my externship requirement for my degree.

Interesting field. What kind of position are you looking to get into later on—a psychiatrist or a psychologist? Also, does it bother you that those words are so f'n complicated? {:>) —J.J.

I plan on being a Clinical Psychologist. I want to actually be able to talk to my patients and not spend all of our time together talking about medications. I can't stand the complications between those words-- many people confuse them!!

RE: What Kind of Work You In?

What kind of software does your company deal with? Games, business applications ect. For a while I though about going into computer science/engineering but decided on Mechanical Engineering instead. I still like to play around with C++ and Vis. Basic once in a while.
