RE: What Kind of Work You In?
Mp, perhaps you've heard the one about the three engineers? There was a mechanical engineer, an electrical engineer, and a civil engineer who were all standing around talking up their individual professions. When the topic fell upon what kind of engineer God would be, there was much disagreement.
The first engineer said that God would have to be a mechanical engineer. "Look at the way the body is constructed," he said. "Look at the joints and the bones and the tension the muscles are designed to support. God HAD to be a mechanical engineer." The second engineer disagreed. "God was obviously an electrical engineer," he said. "Just look at the nervous system. Consider the brain and how the synapses fire and how the cells share information—all through the magic of electricity. God was an electrical engineer." The third engineer, determined not to be outdone, argued more emphatically that God was neither a mechanical nor an electrical engineer. "God," he said, "was a civil engineer. Who else would run a waste disposal pipeline through a major recreational area?" —J.J. |

RE: What Kind of Work You In?
Looks as if I'm over a year late on this thread. LOL!
I'm a Project Manager/Director of Engineering/Director of Facilities for a very large hotel company. I've been with the company for 18 years and am located in Southern California. I LOVE this topic/thread. It gives me a new dimension on the personalities of my fellow leaf-lovers. For me, as much as I love cigars, I can only discuss them for so long before I like to move on. And although discovering what a brother does for a living doesn't tell you everything about who they are, it certainly offers you a peak into a world they spend much of their time in. I find it a fascinating topic of conversation. It's about getting to know people, as opposed to casual BS. Depth. [font color=blue] Dave http://www.habanossa.com/image/logo_02.gif Embargo? Seriously? :P

RE: What Kind of Work You In?
Quality assurance tech, for a custom, heavy haul, semi trlr. Manufacturer. used to enjoy it, but after being hired away from my first employer and helping sqaure present up. My help was all layed off. It's a struggle, they actually said "If no ones complaning were doing too good a job." Looks like 8 yrs. wasted. So I'm looking for a new adventure.
