Re: What Kind of Work You In?

I am a farily new memeber to this board. I just turned 62 years old, but feel inside like a 30 year old. My body looks like a pudgy 45 year old these days, and it feels like a 62 year olds, if I do anything physical. LOL
I am retired for a few years now from The USMC as well as a law enforcement officer. I was on active duty for many years and then retired as a reservist. I was on many rotations active, and as a reservist(both voluntary and them finding me hideing under the bed, LOL).
The last few year of my military I worked mostly as an instructor, in the old Marine Corps art of Ground Defense, which is not much practiced these day, but is an art our forces have needed to relearn.
Now, I smoke my cigar a day, a chaefeur to my wife who is a long time special education teacher(she will retire in 4 years), watch the history and military chanel a lot, hit the gym 3 times a week, and sit by the lake or ocean. Cant take the sea out of an old fleet marine. Oh watch the yankees on the big screen, my children recently purchased for me. I have been watching on a 16 inch samsung for many years, and I could see the scores anymore. lol
I build custom computers for my sons business. I do the grunt work, him the software part.
I have a degree in electronic data processing. You guys today would call it computer science.
I go back to the old main frames and shared main frames. I used to know pascal, fortran, binary, machine language, octal. It used to take a week to program just a telephone directory heading. Things have changed.
I have a masters degree in Physics. (Took me almost seven years)
I like to target shoot, when its not too hot. I like to cook. I like to paint houses for some strange reason. Always did an excellent job of painting for some reason. I love the painstaking prep work, and then the satisfaction for a job well done. All for a hamburger bbq and a good cigar at days end.
Hope I didnt bore anyone. I never properly introduced myself.

Much regards Jerry
