LOL, I know how you feel. I'm a systems engineer with the R&D group for a major video game company. Everything before that just seems kinda meh in comparison, except maybe the year I spent working in radio.

Congratulations. It will be the best and most remembered part of your life. Embrace it, and it will take care of you. Also if you go back to ups, they have a veterans first hireing policy. For that, I always prefer them over fedex, and the old dhl.

Full-time college student studying Communications/PR. Have had a few great-paying sales jobs, but then the economy crashed. Have also owned my own automotive detailing business, for a little walkin' around money in college... Until the economy crashed... Hence why I'm working on getting a degree so someday I may have some sort of 'job-security'...

I did about 8 years in ems as well. I'm now left with a permanent back injury. I was getting burnt out bad too, city of Boston will do that to you.

i know do something completely different, make more money, and have really good benefits. The private ambulance company had horrible benefits, no chance to move up the ranks, and a really bad pay scale, which was about what all the companies around here where doing for pay. I did enjoy the work, but the future for me was bleak there, I was trying for the FD, but then with the back injury, it was time to walk away from it all
