"Uncle" something I think Darrell called him, so I am guessing he is a good guy.
Uncle Dan, he's awesome, I know few people as nice as him.

I finally kicked those MF'ers out of the yard at 1.

Re: CS Late night crew

I work nights so, by necessity, I am up most nights. I just can't post from work.

Re: CS Late night crew

so it's 11:30 in the east. I just got back from the bar so I figure I'll bring this thread back to the top. I still haven't slept, I'm at 62 1/2 of no sleep now. I feel tired as shit but I still don't think sleep is coming tonight. One thing an insomniac will do is go on google type in as many variations of the word insomnia and read every link that they give you, I'm 35 or so hours past that now.

So I made a myspace page today, bought COD 4 for 360, and drank lots. At the bar I smoked a Cohiba Red Dot cigar and drank a few windsor and cokes.

I had piano lessons this morning and after that I went to lunch with a buddy and then played COD for most of the day.

The reason I write all this is to start some sort of conversation with you guys so that I don't just do nothing for the next whatever hours.

Re: CS Late night crew

I'm usually up late, at the very least until midnight EST. Cadet life usually means staying up late and sleeping through morning classes. Well, the boring morning classes... nothing like going through Supreme Court cases in constitutional law!

I think the best part about "The Road" is the fact that it's a story of a father and son who only have each other in some sort of post-apocalyptic world. It's why, when, and how is kept intentionally vague so that you are able to put yourself into the story. At the beginning of the story you are introduced to a father and a son who need to make it to the coast for some reason, that's the story.

You might need to get used to his writing style. He doesn't seem to like punctuation or give a crap about grammar, which is fine for me because I love Hunter Thompson.

Anyway if you like this book you should check out his others, I read "No Country For Old Men" 2 weeks ago because I loved the movie so much.

That style of writing is great! I love William Faulkner, Franz Josef Kafka, and e.e. Cummings...stream of conciousness thought has gone by the wayside in modern literature...Thanks...I am off to Borders!
