More importantly, watch the road.

Yeah, when I first got word I was deploying here, my buddies all said "At least you don't have to go back to Iraq," and that was fine b/c my wife was usually listening, and I don't want her to be too worried. But it has picked up a bit here, and you really have to keep on your toes when you are outside the wire.

Ain't nowhere safe.

Be safe Alex!! Bagram is not all that bad. It does get a bit cold, but I am sure you are prepared for that. For God's sake please walk on the sidewalks and or marked paths there are still millions of landmines over there. Talk to you soon brother. The one thing I hated about Afghanistan compared to Iraq is the chow hall food sucks in Afghanistan. I used to dine at a great little Korean eatery on base down from the main gym tent and it burned down about a year ago. I am not sure if they rebuilt or relocated it.
