Why is Columbus day still a federal holiday?

thats one way of looking at it but why then do we have mlk day? he was a guy who was a womanizer who cheated on his wife and had ties to the soviets in russia along with being a rabbel rauser,sp?. but no one would dare suggest that idea of getting rid of it because of racism. i dont advocate getting rid of either but anybody can be spun in a bad way.

I think he also was coordinating landings at Area 51 and was responsible for the happenings in the Bermuda Triangle.

im not saying that, what im saying is that the case can be made for that conclusion but to equate columbus to a murderer is just as absured as comparing mlk to a soviet spy. like i said you can twist anybody into a villan.

i have and there is evidence to prove he wasn't this great guy personally and that he had shady friends.
