ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK (TICKER) -- Prior to his team's preseason game with the Buffalo Bills on Friday, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank indicated that star quarterback Michael Vick's days with the club are probably over.

I am not suprised I read what ESPN had to say and they are looking that his NFL carrer is over. Away from the game and with the baggage he brings. He is fun to watch but not that good of a QB.

Looks like he has either accepted a plea deal or is very close to.
His buds have ratted him out as helping kill dogs that lost and financing the whole thing.
Man is done.
Stick a fork in him it looks like.

Latest articles say he is weighing on going to trial. I would love to see him go to court as that would be quite ballsy with the potential jail time being much higher, yet the reward being really highest.

Its funny... it has always seemed to me that he had all the talent in the world, but just wasn't that interested in playing, really. Seems like he had other things on his mind after all. Be interesting to see if he pursues the plea bargain as they are predicting...

Anyone see the comments by the Virginia DA? He's strongly considering filing state charges which could add up to 25 YEARS to his sentence. He certainly will never play in the NFL again, unless Al Davis decides to pick him up.

If he doesn't plea he is even dumber than I thought(if that's possible). The Feds have 7 witnesses ready to testify. TOAST!!

I read an article that stated, from people that knew him, that he is that dumb. We'll never get an honest apology out of Vick because he does not feel that fighting and execution of dogs are wrong.

Finally. It only took him committing felonies for people to realize he is a mediocre QB at best.

Probably!
I wonder why the owner won't just go ahead and end all ties with Vick. I know he has not been convicted of anything, but why associate with this guy. Not only is he a mediocre QB, but far from even a mediocre human.

at best Vick was in the top 20 QB's in the NFL.. He may be one of the NFL's best "athletes" but nowhere near contention for best QB.

I heard that if the Falcons keep him on roster they could possibly get some money back(by suing Vick for not fulfilling his contract). That might be why they haven't cut him yet.

Re: Atlanta may be over Vick

I am not surprised. I have always viewed Vick as a liability for his team and I believed this situation is the icing on the cake. Alas, concerning his dog-fighting:

Simeon and Levi are brothers;
Instruments of cruelty are in their dwelling place.

6 Let not my soul enter their council;
Let not my honor be united to their assembly;
For in their anger they slew a man,
And in their self-will they hamstrung an ox.

7 Cursed be their anger, for it is fierce;
And their wrath, for it is cruel!
I will divide them in Jacob
And scatter them in Israel. (Genesis 49:5-7)

They should have moved him to RB and had Schaub QB.... I bet they're wishing they had.

The sad thing is that I believe that Vick could have been one of the greatest. Vick could be summed up as someone with tremendous talent who lacked even the faintest glimmer of heart.

How pathetic!
