Hunting and Trapping are legal, and viewed by society as such. They are also regulated, you need a license in most places to hunt, and if you get caught without one - you pay the price.

I do not hunt or trap - as I have issues with that practice too, but I can not group those who do into the same category as dog fighters. It is nowhere near the same thing.

The bottom line is this: Vick chose his path. He had more opportunity for a good life than 90% of the people in this country - yet he CHOSE to break the law. He used his considerable resources, not for the good of mankind, but to fight and kill dogs. I have no pity for him. He deserves any punishment he gets.

However, I also believe that he deserves a second chance. He will have the next 1 - 2 years to affect a positive change in his life. Let's hope he grows up.

That's not intentional, putting two dogs in an area and making them fight to the death is intentional. That is the difference.
