RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Michael Vick acknowledged in court papers Friday that he did, indeed, bankroll gambling on dogfighting and helped kill some dogs not worthy of the pit, but insisted he placed no bets of his own nor took any winnings.

So much for the ESPN story that Vick was not admitting to killing dogs. The local sports talk radio just read from the plea that was filed today. From what they read he was involved in gambling but didn't place any "side bets."

I also heard that the NFL has suspended him indefinitely.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Man's best friend is.. well man's best friend. Hard to come back from this as forgiveness will not come easy from dog lovers. Lot of dog lovers out there. Hopefully he will gain some experience in the style of dogs while incarcerated.... doggy style that is.

This is clear and convincing evidence they are out to get him.
He is a target.
The man should be vindicated now that he has admitted no wrong doing as he never placed any bets.

Man does that really, really piss me off.
How come I found Jesus without ever becoming a criminal?
How come only when caught and convicted does he find Jesus?
I hope he also finds Bubba.
This nonsense just blows and I find insulting to use the name of Jesus in it.

The idol-worship of athletes and celebrities is the prime contributor to their behavior. In no way would I excuse his actions but we have to, as a society, stop worshipping these people. I hope he does learn from his mistakes - we'll see when the "trouble's past". I don't hold out a lot of hope.
