After I read this article http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7159406?MSNHPHMA I was thinking about how often apologies are given for reprehensible actions. The apologies seem to be for getting caught more than for the actual act and (to me) tend to ring hollow.

It seems Mr. Vick is representative of our times... there is no longer anything known as "shame." It used to be when you did something wrong and it was discovered, you were ashamed. Now, you are simply a "victim" of poor choices and bad associates. These public apologies have become nauseating to me because the "sorry" offered has nothing to do with sorrow over reprehensible behavior - only sorry they have been discovered for the scummy excuses for humanity they truly are.

My hope? That he can sincerely recognize the error of his ways. I do believe in forgiveness and I do believe in second chances... for those who are repentant of their actions, not simply upset at their consequences. That's my

We are a nation of laws. Being a loser for cheering a sadistic loser is not a death penalty offense.

Come on...Could you not even detect even a slight hint of Sarcasm there?

The idea of cheering an admitted animal killer as he walks into court just crazy to me. It is one thing to admire what Vick does on the field. But to actually take the time and effort to go to a Courthouse and cheer for lowlife is just an act of incredible stupidity. I mean some of them probably cut school or called in to work to do this, assuming they had a job or life.

While I would obviously not wish any of those people with death, I would get a good chuckle if the Police were forced to tazer a group of Rowdy Vick Supporters. Might make them feel a little sympathy for what the dogs went through.
