NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA (TICKER) -- Things just keeping worse for Michael Vick.

A Canadian bank has filed a federal lawsuit against Vick claiming the disgraced quarterback defaulted on a $2.5 million loan taken out earlier this year.

Filed last week in Newport News, Virginia, the suit says Vick signed a promissory note payable to the Royal Bank of Canada on January 18. Two days later, Vick executed a "borrower acknowledgement" stating the loan would be for real estate investments.

The suit claims Vick is in default of $2,313,649.37 for various reasons, including that he failed to provide accurate financial statements. It also says Vick is in default because of changes in his employment which affect his ability to repay the loan.

Vick also failed to meet a September 10 to repay the loan.

In August, Vick pleaded guilty to federal dogfighting charges. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 when he is sentenced on December 10.

On Tuesday, Vick was indicted on state chargers regarding the dogfighting operation that took place on his Virginia property.

Since being suspended indefinitely by the NFL, Vick has lost numerous endorsements, including Nike.

I agree, and when I saw that idiot on ESPN talk about how America still can't see past race, I got soooo pissed off. Then, to see people protesting the kids being prosecuted in Jena, LA for beating the hell out of a white kid, I just fume. For a second, I thought I was the only one that realized that people are supposed to go to jail for committing crimes like this, regardless of their race. Vick is a trashy, sick jerk, who is just a criminal. Hopefully he'll see plenty of time in prison. This marijuana incident just finished him: he's screwed.

A friend of mine once asked me, about a year ago, what I thought about Michael Vick, and I said I didn't know much about him as a person, but he's a good athelete, maybe not a very good quarterback, but a good athelete, etc... He said, "the same mother raised him that raised Marcus, so do you really think he could be a half-way decent person? Absolutely not."
He was 100% correct. I'm kind of impressed with his premonition/judgement.

The only reason Marcus was the "bad boy" of the family was, as hard as it is to believe, he is stooooopider than Michael becausee he kept getting caught - and Michael didn't...until now....but boy did he do it right!
