that was one hell of a fight!!! The way Pavlick hung in there in the second round, after being knocked down. Classic fight for sure... he is one tough dude.

Jermain could have finished it in the second round, but he kept backing off the whole fight. All he needed to do was go for it, and it would've been his. That's what happens when you train in solitude. You turn wussy. heh heh

I thought that Smoger could easily have stopped that fight in the second but am gratified he didn't since it turned out to be a great bout.
The first fight on Showtime last night (Perez lost his title) was also a good one.

Great fight, although I think Taylor couldn't finish Pavlik in Round 2 because he punched himself out and was shot for the remainder of the round. Can't believe Pavlik got up, what heart he showed. Too bad Taylor couldn't have been afforded the opportunity to finish Round 7, the fight was just a war.

He looked like he was pretty much out. I was surprised to hear the judges had Taylor way ahead on their cards.
