I am a Phillies fan and extremely happy right now. But we really have to thank the Mets for self destructing, or our boys would be packing their bags right now and heading home for the winter.
As for the playoffs, the Phils will need the same solid pitching that they have had over the last couple weeks. No doubt, they will score some runs, but if their bullpen can't get anyone out, they won't get too far. |

While the Mets might have self-destructed (they did) the Phillies still had to go out and win. How many times did the Phillies beat the Mets in head-to-head at the end of the season? That takes a lot of guts and determination on the part of the Phils.
Mets' fans, I feel your pain. Hang in there.

Only one New York team should ever play in the playoffs...and they play Thursday against the Cleveland Indians...LETS GO YANKEES!!!
Oh, and congrats Philly...Did you not start out with the worst record in the MLB? |
