Hmm, BC against South Florida for the National Title???? Strange year. I really thought Boston College would stink once they moved to the ACC, but they are thriving in it. I cannot believe at this point in the season they will be #2 or 3.

What always hurt BC was that they would lose games that they should win and then turn around and win the tough games. This year they are winning the ones that they should. Next week against Virginia Tech we will see if they remember how to win the tough ones.

The ACC is an easy conference these days. Especially with Miami and Florida State stinking it up.

Wouldn't hurt to give a little credit to teams within the ACC that are playing well.

Like who? Virginia Tech? The only good team they have played was LSU and they lost of course. Boston College? The best team they have played is Georgia Tech. Don't expect them to go undefeated. They will more likely have at 2 losses even though their schedule is easy. Virginia hasn't played anyone either. So where are these teams that are playing well in the ACC?

I don't think any BC fan is expecting them to go undefeated. But they can still enjoy the ride while it lasts!!! I honestly thought they would suck once they joined the ACC, but they have more than held their own. There are a lot of good teams in the ACC, but probably no great ones.

This year there is more parity across the board. The SEC and Pac 10 both have a few very good teams. I doubt there will be any undefeated teams this year. There are just too many good tams this year and no dominant ones.

But the best thing that could happen would be BC/South Florida match up for the BCS National Championship with about 10 teams with one loss bitching and moaning that they are better teams and deserve to be playing for #1. That may just be what gets the NCAA to put together a playoff system.

This would be ideal, and pretty cool in my opinion. It would show how the BCS is screwed up. The only problem though is the computer probably won't pick them because their strength of schedule just isn't there.

Any way you slice it, it has not been a good year to quit sniffing glue if your team is highly ranked. I think this is the week the first BCS rankings come out. It's gonna be a good second half of the season for the sports talkers, that's for sure.
