Re: I come not to praise the Cowboys...
First of all, I'll admit that the Cowboys got beat bad. But I'm surprised at all the commentary (outside of CS) about this Pats team being legendary and among the greatest in history. Talk about some premature statements. I know my generation can clearly remember the '85 Bears, the '88-'89 49ers and '92-'93 Cowboys. Those were complete teams with very stingy defenses. This Pats defense can obviously be scored on, but their offense is just overwhelming with talent that it doesn't matter. Are the '07 Pats a great team? Yes, but at this point not among the top 5 in NFL history. They still have a lot to prove in my eyes.

Re: I come not to praise the Cowboys...
I agree that it is too early to put this year's team on a pedistal and most Pats fans do not do that. It seems that it is the media who want a big story that they can carry on for a while this season, and if it causes some controversy, so much the better. I want to see what the defense looks like when Seymour returns to the defensive line. So far so good with this team but no claims to greatness from this fan yet.

Re: I come not to praise the Cowboys...
As Ditka, Parcells, Johnson and multiple retired players have said, if you don't want a team to run up the score, stop them from scoring, especially when a practice squad running back is being used (Dallas). I forget who wrote it but this is not high school football where you hold off on scoring, this is professional football where half the team is paid to score, the other half is paid to stop the scoring. Nobody has said anything about the Colts' margins of victory this year and in the year that Pay me a ton broke the touchdown record.

The Pats are proving a point. People are calling them a fraud because of the Cheating thing, so they seem to have extra motivation. So now the same people who were saying they cannot win without stealing signals are whining about them running up scores. ![]()
