while there might not be any running up the score in the NFL, it's pretty classless to spike the ball like Brady did after running for a TD when you're winning 52-zip. I'm not sure what he was even doing in the game at that point.

Too bad he won't get the same chance next week......
I cant wait til they suck again and get it rubbed back in theyre faces.

A wise coach once said "If you want to keep the score close then put a better team on the field."

I think that this my be the best team I have ever seen play on Sunday.
We will have to wait and see if their bid for a pefect season comes to an end eventually. I do think that whoever wins between the Colts and Pats have a realistic chance at an undefeated season.

Before Brady got that touchdown, it was 24-0, not 52-0...

in any case, people spike the ball - does that make them ALL classless?
I guess Marvin Harrison is classless too - he spiked a ball in a game against the Pats in 2006...

If they lose, it's not going to be because of that. They'll lose because the other team is better. Until that happens, they will remain to win. The Pats have laser concentration and the tunnel vision to win the Superbowl, not to mention a reinvented Randy Moss.

Will they beat Indy or Steelers? Probably...

My bad Brother Julian.

Brady spiked the ball when the Pats were up 31-0....

Cassel spiked the ball when they went up 52-0....

I guess I don't see the how one is any better than the other.

And come on.....picking on Marvelous Marvin? I don't recall the guy ever spiking the ball in his entire career........if he did spike it one time in 2006 don't you think he's entitled?? Were the Colts winning 31-0 when he did it?

actually, 24 or 30, depending on whether you count his touchdown.

... his first ever touchdown, and following some very mediocre play on his part - don't you think he's entitled?

how is the score relevant - why does it make spiking the ball any better or worse?

They will not rest their players after they clinch the playoffs. They are going for the undefeated season, just like they go for the 50 points every Sunday.

Re: Will the Redskins Defense Beat the Pats Next Sunday?

Somehow I don't see the Pats resting players not because they want to run the score up but because they go deeper into the playoffs when they play all the way through the regular season. Granted this has been done out of necessity in the past but when they have rested Brady for the most notable example, they have lost before the Superbowl.
