For Portny (Yankees fan) this must be eerily familiar to 2004, only difference was this year the Sox were down 3-1 instead of 3-0 for the ALCS. But same results for the world series - sweep!!!

But the Cards won a series after being beat by the Sox in 2004. If anything that means the Rockies will win it in 2 years.

I think that it is the Yankees who are now cursed because they are going to demolish the House that Ruth Built. That was fair game bringing up the Manny thread. I like Manny but I stand by my comments that he scares the crap out of me when he is in left in a close game. He can hit like a madman but he can also cost the team multiple games with his fielding and lack of hustle when he does not feel like making a full effort. All that being said, very happy about another World Series.
