Perriloux was not charged with anything. Odom was with property damage (misdemenor (sp? too much Applejack)).

Question now is whether Miles will have Perriloux suit up just in case.

LSU dismisses two players, disciplines another

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (TICKER) -- LSU coach Les Miles dismissed linebackers Derrick Odom and Jeremy Benton from the team Wednesday for their involvement in an altercation at an off-campus establishment last week.

Miles also announced backup quarterback Ryan Perrilloux would not make the trip due to his participation in the same incident as No. 3 LSU prepares for Saturday's Southeast Conference matchup with 17th-ranked Alabama.

The decisions were reached after Miles reviewed the findings of an investigation into the incident by the Baton Rouge Police Department.

"This incident, it appears, is winding down," Miles said. "Our involvement is not to be condoned. There are a number of people at fault here, including our guys and their judgment. How that will translate is this - two guys, Derrick Odom and Jeremy Benton, will no longer be on the team.

"Ryan Perrilloux will not play in the Alabama game. That's how it's shaken out. Beyond that time, Ryan will be back as we prepare for our remainder of the season."

Odom, a redshirt freshman from Jackson, Mississippi, has not seen any action for the Tigers this year. Benton, a junior from Monroe, Louisiana, played in four games - all in a backup role.

In eight games this year, Perrilloux has thrown for 414 yards and six touchdowns, while adding another 192 yards and two scores on the ground.
