I say play Kolb these last few games, give the kid a chance. What harm can it do, at least it would give Captain Gimp a rest...

The money is gonna have to be damn high? He's under contract for like the next 6 years. The last 3 years are voidable if he reaches certain performance levels. I think it would be tough to trade him as I'm not sure anyone would be willing to pay him under his current contract and also give up something. I highly doubt he will be cut, but I guess that's possible. I think he stays 1 more year. But in reality, why not start Kolb? Let's see where he's at if were thinking of letting McNabb go. At least we'll have an idea of some needs if that's the intentions. |

Re: How bout them COWBOYS?
John Madden was inGreen Bay to announce a football game one weekend
when he noticed a special telephone near the Packers' bench. He asked QBFavre what it was used for and was told it was a hotline to God. John asked if he could use it.Favre replied, 'Sure, but it will cost you $200. John scratched his head, then thought, what the heck, I could use some help picking games. He pulled out his wallet and paid $200. John's picks were perfect that week. The next week, John was in Indianapolis when he noticed that same kind of phone on the Colts bench. He asked what the telephone was for and Manning told him, 'It's a hotline to God if you want to use it, it will cost you $500.' Recalling the previous week, John pulled out his wallet and made the call. John's picks were perfect again that week. Last weekend, John was inDallas, when he noticed the same kind of telephone by theDallas' bench. He askedTony Romo, 'Is that the hotline to God?'Tony said, 'Yes, and if you want to use it, it will cost you 50 cents.' John looked incredulously at Romo and said, 'Wait a second, I just paid $200 inGreen Bay and $500 in Indianapolis to use the same phone to God! Why do theCowboys only charge 50 cent? Tony replied, 'Because inDallas, it's a local call... Welcome to God's Country.'................. GOOOOCOWBOYSSSSSSS!!!!!

Re: How bout them COWBOYS?
I don't really think the cowboys are as good as everyone thinks. Don't get me wrong they are alot better team without the TUNA. Don't think TUNA and TO was a good mix. They are just about beating the teams that they should have no problem beating. We will see come playoff time if Romo the HOMO sorry... can handle the pressure or not. Once you start putting on the BLITZ he will panic and throw up the INTERSEPTIONS

The problem with Dallas is everyone "shows up" to play Dallas. You either love em or hate em and teams take that approach when getting ready for them. I really hope T.O. gets healthy before the playoffs kick off. The attention he draws really opens up the Dallas Offense.

Now I am a die-hard Dallas fan starting back in the early 60's - so - is Romo a great Quarterback? Umm - no, not yet. Time, ability and feats are what proves greatness and Romo barely has one full season under his belt. Is Romo a good quarterback? Sure he his. There have been a ton of NFL quarterbacks who played brilliant for a game or two and even a season that faltered and are no longer around. I do hope that Romo proves himself in the coming years. Will he be able to take Dallas all the way - I doubt it. Dallas is not currently on the same playing level as the Colts and New England - but I do expect they would make a good showing. It's been a good year so far and as a Dallas fan I am of course enjoying the hell out of it. But I hold no delusions for the end of the season. Ron ![]() |

We can win this whole thing. When our offense is on point and working on all cylinders, we can match any offense including New Englands. Throw in Terry Glenn who should be back next week, and we will be lights out offensively. |

Actually, Romo's stats are pretty comparable to Manning's over his first two seasons. He is probably the best young QB in the NFL right now. I think he needs a couple of more years like this year before he is considered great though.

I like Romo. I surely hope he is the next great quarterback for Dallas. But the fact is he only has one season in the NFL as a starter. I mean there have been a ton of "could have been has beens" through the doors of the NFL. I'm not saying he is one - I'm simple saying give the guy some time to prove himself before attaching the "greatness" label on him. Ron |
