Lack of talent on the front seven, Reggie. It is pure and simple. The offense did not cover for them enough today. The Steelers adjusted at half time. The Browns could not make enough plays to outscore them.

I understand that to some extent, but you have to do more than rush 3 or 4 and expect the secondary to cover all game when you are making no effort to get to the QB. That is not acceptable. You can't play zone every play and allow any NFL QB time to make reads and throws. You will lose doing that.

Have you watched the blitz packages by the Browns? They rarely have been successful this season. Again, imo, they need more big uglies on the front seven to make much of a difference. Our d is rated last in the league for a good reason.

No stones on the last drive. Endzone not FG. Arrgh.

Happiness is.....
A Steeler victory over the Browns!!!

The Steelers played Sub-par in the 1st half, but did a hell of a job in the second.

And as far as Big Ben..great 2nd half....He's running for a 1st down..no wait!!!! TOUCHDOWN!!! He got the job done, and thanks to Mr. Rooney for talkin' to the football Gods in Heaven to bring the infamous "swirling winds', off the Three Rivers to make that Field goal short!!!

It was me and my Steeler crew of 4 against 20+ Brownies in thier watering hole. Lots of smack talk, lots of praying by me,"Please ...I don't want to take the walk of shame, not here."
Highlight was when Willie Parker went over 100 yards and my buddy and I screamin', "Wrap it up!!! We Won!!! It's a Win!! Willie over 100 yards at home = a win!!! Look at the stats!!!!"

That's what i love about this match-up...always down to the wire!!!

Agreed,

A great game. Lot's of F words by me in the first half. I would have just hated having to pack up a 5'ver of gerbils after talkin' so much sh*t about the Browns. Alas, I do not have to!

I will say this. The Steelers were not prepared for this game. There will be some serious hell to pay for the rest of the week over this last performance. I will stand by my previous statements though and say that Big Ben is still the toughest man in the NFL. I would like to see Brady Quinn take that big ass hit that Big Ben did and get up and throw a touchdown.

What a squeaker!

For all you Big Ben haters(especially a certain Colts fan here)
Read this...http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...yhoo&type=lgns

22 TD passes and a 110.2 passer rating? Only Tom Brady is better, as the article says.

Correct me if I am wrong (I probably am) but I think an important adjustment was the Steelers getting more pressure on the QB in the second half. It looked to me like they were rushing 4 and dropping the rest back in the first half but bringing in more pressure in the second.

Great comeback, great game!

Actually, they did not really get much more pressure, but the qb started panicking like he was. That was a huge problem the entire second half excluding the final drive. He was rushing his throws and his accuracy went out the door. The play calling seemed to tighten up bit as well. The Browns had some key players and coaches lose their poise. You cannot do that and expect to win against a quality NFL team. The Browns are learning how to win. They were taken out of the game in the second half by being intimidated and losing confidence, imo. They landed a solid punch to the biggest and baddest on the block, but when the Steelers stood back up, my team flinched. At least in this game they delivered some blows. The first game this year was a "no contest".

Great comeback, great game!
They may have been putting more pressure, but I think it was more with Anderson becoming more conscious of trying to not turn the ball over to Pittsburgh. In short, Anderson was playing it safe! The thing he didn't need to do. Great plays are based on skill and risk. Anderson had the skill (that was obvious from the the big drives he had in the first half), but in the second half he lacked the stomach for the risk to keep putting points on the board. For Cleveland, in the second half it became more of not losing the game than winning it. That is why they lost! Pittsburgh has been guilty of this as well and they have lost some crucial games in the past as a result of this. Cleveland, same as Pittsburgh, need to look at this game as a wake up call. Victory doesn't come to the timid.
