Anyhow, just a quick note that now the Colts are "running up the score". 44-7 at one point tonight.
Now let's all cry about it!

and I'm both shocked and amazed. Maybe we should start questioning Dungy's character? ... or is he still considered a saint?

Maybe a team needs to Cheap Shot Manning....then his numbers are kind of so so this year, his back up may be better.

Actually, as soon as you turned on the game and saw that Rolle and another CB were out with injuries, it would be a big day for Manning.

I figured you'd come up with an excuse for why the Colts just put their foot to the ass of a team that put THEIR foot to the Pats ass just last week.. In a suprising move even the Pats themselves admitted that they were physically embarrassed by the Ravens. I'd be more worried about that fact and the fact that the Colts physically embarrassed a team that just physically embarassed your team, then I would with comments about Manning. And Please no excuses about injuries, the Colts have had more significant injuries this year than the Pats and Ravens combined.

Julian, it's okay. I know you have to feel terribly being a fan of the most despised team in the NFL. Maybe this will help you feel better:

From the Baltimore Sun website:

"Now you know why Colts coach Tony Dungy is well respected throughout the NFL.

He stopped attacking the Ravens' defense midway through the second period and was content running the ball. He even refused to use his timeouts late in the second quarter when the Ravens were buried deep in their own territory late in the first half.

If only New England coach Bill Belichick had half as much class. He would have gone for 60 points in the first half on the Ravens."

Well now. The hometown paper acknowledges the Colts calling off the dogs in the second period, which is how I saw it myself. So I guess that settles that, now doesn't it?

I feel great being a fan!
Especially since their performance is exposing the cry babies and separating them from the men!

None the less, they were already ahead by such a margin that all the Pats haters would be whining about if it had been the Pats. By the "boo-hoo" logic, they should have stopped even trying to get first downs any time they were up by 14 or more

Brother, I know you watched at least part of the game. How in the name of God would they have done that? As it was they were playing second stringers in the first half,

Not so surprising the Pats, and especially Belichick, are always very honest about their performance following games.

Vic, you know better than to play the "A beat B beat C" game. You can make almost any team the best in the league that way

Throw to the opposing defense, I guess.
That seems to be the suggestion for the Pats

I don't think you can say that the Ravens put their "foot to the Pats ass" if they lost. Sure they played a very physical game and they played a tough game. But they didn't win so it seems to there was no ass kicking involved in the game. What it was was a close game.

Also, don't talk to me about winning despite injuries. The Patriots invented winning despite injuries. IIRC it wasn't too long ago that the Pats won a Superbowl against the Eagles featuring TO, one of the best WRs in the league. Did they have either of their starting CBs in that game? No. Who played corner? Randall Gay and Asante Samuel both of whom were rookies one of which was an undrafted free agent. Among other injuries that year.

I was not making excuses for the Pats. They did not play their best games the last couple of weeks and were lucky to walk away with wins. I just stated that Manning playing a defense with Second String CBs is a mismatch, even without Harrison. I was looking forward to watching the game to see if The Ravens D would shop up or would it be a continuation of what started at the end of last weeks game. When they gave the injury report, instead of watching the game, I decided to watch something else and check in on the score.

Like it or not, the Colts may be defending Super Bowl Champions, but the Pats became King of the Hill when they Beat the Colts. Teams are going to focus differently on the two teams. Everyone wants to go be the team that beats the undefeated the Pats.

Look at 85 Dolphins...They were not the AFC East Champions...they are the only team that beat the Bears. Does anyone brag about being one of the teams to beat the Defending Superbowl IXX champion 49ers 22 years later? Hell no!!! But I have seen Don Shula and Dan Marino both brag about beating the 85 Bears this month. So for a team like the Eagles, Ravens, Jets or Dolphins, a win over the Patriots would be something they could go down in history for... A win over the Defending Champion Colts......not really a big deal.

The Colts already have two losses. Nobody is talking about the Colts defending their title outside of Indy. But everyone is talking about will anyone beat the Patriots.

I know you'd like this to be true. But, unfortunately the Colts are the defending SB champs, until the next SB Champ takes the crown. Beating the SB champs during the regular season, as you pointed out thank you very much, means nothing

Go to the Indy Star site sometime, the Colts hometown newspaper. They KNOW nobody is talking about them, they've been saying it all season. They LIKE it that way. The Colts have had plenty of seasons where the spotlight is on them. In case you've forgotten, two years ago it was the Colts starting out 13-0......they know all about it and they prefer, as they put it, to fly under the radar.

But everyone is talking about will anyone beat the Patriots.
..in red.

Well, don't take it up with me, take it up with Rodney Harrison. I was quoting him, HE"S the one who stated that they got their butts whipped. Since he plays for the Pats, I would think he would be someone who would be in the know. Yes???

Re: How About Them Colts

I said it early in the season and reitterate it now. . . Res is PM's Butt-boy!

I've seen all season a rabid defense of the Colts and PM. And while they are a great team, Res seems incapable of giving anyone but the Colts props. A little perspective and reason in appreciating some of the best atheletes on the planet (whether you cheer for them or not) would be nice.

I understand being a fan of a team and player, but having blinders on is a little simplistic. IMHO. . .
