When he is convicted and jailed, I hope that the feds are compassionate and let him do his time close to home in the California Prison System like maybe Pelican Bay. Additionally I hope that he shares a cell with some muscle-head from aryan nation who makes Barry his love puppy. Enjoy Barry! There will be room for these
 to jump out of your butt.

The guy had HOF numbers a long time ago and didn't need the HR record to be a first ballot entrant. I want a guy like McGuire to stand up, realize the game is more important than he is, and come out and admit it. Of course only if he is guilty, which, of course, I firmly believe he is. Let all the numbers from this "roid era" stand - they are all tainted as far as I am concerned and how do you selectively erase some of them. So McGuire can have his day in the sun when he broke Maris' record, but no HOF and immortality for selling your soul. But maybe there is redemption. Somebody (like a McGuire), who realizes this is our national pasttime - America's game, needs to have the moral conviction to come forward and peal the fetid layers off this onion. While at the same time I don't expect it to be Bonds, I am supremely disappointed by McGuire who sat mute in front of Congress. This isn't about him, it's about baseball for crying out loud. Going forward, I say the hell with the players union. The players need to get tested twice a week (on and offseason). Hell, make it one piss test and one blood test per week as far as I am concerned. There is so much money flying back and forth with the owners and the players they can easily afford it (Great googly-moogly, look at A-Rod's upcoming contract for crying out loud!!!). If testing twice a week is what it takes to keep the game clean, than they need to pay it! IMO

I have two things to say about this assbag. Any more would be a complete waste of breath.
1) The Feds have built this case for over a year now before pursuing the indictment. 2) Federal Indictments have a 93% conviction rate. Got get him boys! |
