Yeah, I kind of wanted to see an Oregon -v- LSU match up for the NC. I sort of thought Dixon might give the LSU defense a little bit of trouble. The flip side is, how would Oregon handle LSU's rushing attack. Had the potential to be a nice match up.

Not sure whether Kansas is a pretender or the real deal. They certainly have been impressive in some spots throughout the year, but they have struggled also.

One thing is for sure, this season is still wide open, but if you are either LSU or Oklahoma, you have to like your chances of getting to the NC right about now.

I can't remember them either. I was on the porch with a Magnum 46 & my ipod. I don't think Kansas will make it that far. What about Oklahoma?

I think it will be oklahomos, it will be fun to play them again in NO, for the NC. That seems familier, wonder if that happened before.

As good a quarterback as Dixon is, Leaf (his back up) is as bad.
I feel bad for those kids. Oregon has lost two starting wide receivers, backup tailback (who is probably as good as the starter), starting quarterback, two starting linebackers, and looks like the starting tailback. It's a M.A.S.H unit, everyone has injuries, but shit.
We may not win another game is Dixon is out for good.
I think Kansas has a loss or two in them yet.

Injuries are making it tough all around. Most schools just don't have the depth they would need to cover an injured star. Hell most pro teams can't cover injuries very well.

VT's last game against FSU was practically a blood bath (unfortunate, but all clean hits), with players going down left and right. Both starting QBs went out with concussions, several others with various injuries, etc. At least we've got 2 good QBs, after that it gets dicey.

Leaf was recruited when the offense was more of a traditional pro set. The spread is definitely not suited for him. It was sad to see the injury because the spread offense was being run masterfully by Dixon. He made it look very easy.
