Agreed. Maybe the authorities should dig a little deeper to see if any of Vick's NFL associates (specifically Falcon teammates) were involved in any dogfighting activities.

I do not want to step onto the soap box but I can not believe that none of his associates were aware of what was going on and the ownership of the Falcons is very lucky that there is not some other problem for them as they are responsable for their players.

As for the players, I agree you always back up your buddy but come on, just who are they trying to impress or what message are they sending at this point?

Hey... They broke the league rules and are now paying a fine... Not much more than that. I don't see what the big deal is.

On another note. Many within the Falcons organization knew about Vick's "hobby". He was quite well known in the world of dog fighting. It's a sad story from all angles. I hope Vick does get another shot at the NFL and can continue to serve as a role model, but a more human & humble one now.

If they really wanted to show support, maybe they could have adopted some of Vick's Pit Bulls!!!

I think some of the fines are crazy. Like $7500 for throwing snow in the air. But showing support for a Jailed teamate? That is just wrong. Do it in interviews after the game all you want.

Those dogs are probably feral at this point. Winning some games would be a good show of support.
