Fantasy Football Blues.

So, Thursday Night football. Normally not something that gets me going. Watching the NFL Network just blow coverage of an NFL game is still puzzling to me. Gumble? Really? Come on.

Anyway. Tonight is different. Fantasy Championship week. Of the 8 leagues I am in, make the title game in 2.

Off to the man shack. Heater is on, got the game on the laptop with the Slingbox, a candle is lit in the corner, gotta feel pretty sometimes.

Pour a Oban 14 year single malt and light a Camacho Triple Maduro. Now I am rolling.

Willie Parker to the right and he appears to break his ankle and is carted off.

Rant over. The cigar is great and the Oban also very good, but my night is tainted and Gumble is still talking.

I got put out of the playoffs last weekend. The scenerio went like this ...

~I'm playing the 2nd rated team in the league
~He has Anderson in (QB for the Browns)
~My hopes went sky high as the snow came down around him & Anderson couldn't do a thing in that blizzard.
~I get settled to watch my QB run up the score left & right ... I actually said outloud : "Allright, Romo ... Lets go"
~nuff said.

But, I have to watch. I'm in the Superbowl in both of my sportsline leagues.

I don't think Gumble can have any excitement in his voice at all. I was watching one game that he was announcing and he called a 40 yard TD throw as though it was a touchback in the endzone on a kickoff . Even my gf mentioned how horrible he is.


As for fantasy, I am in the playoffs for both of my leagues that I am in. I lost my first round game in one league...mostly because he had LT and also the Tampa Bay D last week (28 points for a defense!!!). I was only down 13 points after the 1st week, but just got destroyed in the 2nd.

The other league has only 1 week rnds, which is interesting. I won last week and playing in the semi final game this week.
