If the SEC's all time record against the big 12 is 19 - 17 that would indicate that the SEC has won two games more than the Big 12 has. That may not be dominant but it shows that from a historical perspective the SEC has won two games more than the big 12. That's historical.

What counts in my opinion is which is the better conference this year and I'm not talking just in head-to-head play. How many big 12 teams have winning records and were invited to play in bowl games? How many of those big 12 teams won their bowl games? Same question for the SEC.

Which conference is "best" is about the same amount of BS as the BCS anyway. I say let's scrap all the conferences, divide the Division I-A schools into districts/regions and institute a national playoff.

I agree with the last part of your post, but a two win differential is hardly dominant! I do agree that currently, the SEC is the best conference from top to bottom, but I don't think it's head and shoulders above the rest... I believe that the top teams from the BCS conferences could all compete with each other on any given day.

What? You have selective reading? I didn't say the SEC was dominant. I said there currently is a two-win differential over the Big 12. And I think that you could probably take the top five teams from each conference and find them competitive with each other on "any given game day."

I'm a LSU fan and I'm still laughing over that one! Even harder than laughing at that 10-2 team that didn't even win it's own college division claiming they should be #1 because they were playing good.

And what part of my statement suggests I don't watch college football? The part that Stanford is a no good team, or the part that Oregon is mediocre. I'm guessing its the part about Oregon. It was in comparison to this article mentioning that Arkansas is mediocre. Oregon regular season 8-4 Arkansas regular season 8-4 (playing in the toughest conference where just about any game can be a toss-up even for a good team). Oregon lost to Oregon State, Arizona, and UCLA... 3 unranked teams. If you were talking about my statement about Stanford... well they lose to Notre Dame, need I say more? Yeah, the part about undefeated in regulation may not mean very much, but shit look at half the points this guy is making in favor of USC... they don't mean shit either. The statement about Oregon is the answer to your question. You reference the USC loss to a "mediocre" Oregon team. You attempt to validate your claim about Oregon with the losses to Arizona, UCLA and Oregon State. What you conveniently fail to mention is that Oregon lost its starting qb AFTER the USC played them. My statement holds a bit of truth to it in that case. If you actually watched them play, you would know that the Oregon team was far from mediocre before Dixon went down. Don't confuse my pointing out something in your post with it supporting some unrelated point, valid or not, in another post.

I am sure you are. Let me applaud your team for being "undefeated" in any quarter in which they were ahead of their opponent this season since that must mean something in addition to the final score. Do you feel better now?
