Bet it just got A LOT colder in GB for the packer players. Have to commend Caughlin for sending the kicker out again. I figured they would go for it on 4th to try and get closer...

Re: NFC Championship Game: NY Giants @ Green Bay Packers....
Was it just me or did the weather seem to affect the Pack more than the Giants? Seemed like the second half the Pack offense was just non existent.

Coughlin is an underrated coach. He did great at BC, Jacksonville and now New Jersey. Happy to see him go to the Superbowl. But I think the Pats are going to be ready for them.

Congratulations Giants! Truth be told, this was a better game than the Pats game today. I followed the Giants before the Pats were founded and they are still my second choice. Just wish that Mr. Mara was here to see the victory.

Now two teams are in the Superbowl that I hate.
I hope the Patriots are winning by about 50 points and then... the stadium blows up. ![]() |

Re: NFC Championship Game: NY Giants @ Green Bay Packers....
I can't say that I am stunned, but I sure as hell am sick over this game. I have to hand it to the Giants, and as much as I hate to say it, especially Eli Manning. Every time I had seen him play he looked like a deer in headlights, but I saw a much more stoic and grown up looking quarterback today.
The Packers really had no business being in the game the way they played today, with an absent running game and both corners being abused by Burress and Toomer. Toomer dropped five passes that he should have had, which would have blown the game wide open. Al Harris talks himself up like he is a bigtime corner and gives up 11 catches. The Pack Couldn't have had more opportunities to win this game, and they just couldn't get it together. I am sure I missed a whole bunch I wanted to say, but I just can't even think straight. Congrats to the Giants for being more prepared and executing a better gameplan, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE beat NE.

Yep, stunned and irritated. I just don't understand that continueous long bomb approach today in the Packers offense strategy (if there was one). I'm not sure why the short pass wasn't utilized more. And then we had a 'late hit' penalty on Manning that didn't help us much.
I gotta hand it to the Giants, they played a good game this evening on the road at Lambeau Field and beat the Packers period. Good luck in the Super Bowl...

Did you see the game the Giants gave them 3 weeks ago?? They certainly have a chance.

Re: NFC Championship Game: NY Giants @ Green Bay Packers....
The Pack lived off of the slant pass all year and for the life of me I cant even remember seeing them attempt one today. Ryan has a great game last week and this week they hardly even try to run the ball. I really dont understand the overall gameplan.

Re: NFC Championship Game: NY Giants @ Green Bay Packers....
Well that was a sad sad game for us Packer fans. The Giants definitely deserved to win that game, as the Packer's offense was completely non-existent. As previously stated the Packers did run the slant passes all year, and they never used it tonight. What was up with the screen pass game plan? After about the first quarter and that not working at all you would think they would have stopped...
Congratulations to the Giants, and please whip the Pats in the SB |

Re: NFC Championship Game: NY Giants @ Green Bay Packers....
Oh well! I was hoping for the Packers to win so that we could have a re-match of the '96 Superbowl.
