My two sons were on the Salmen team that beat Leesville for the state championship. My oldest was the starting left tackle and played the entire game with a stress fracture in his foot. Salmen had a real good running back named Dwayne Woods who ran for close to 2,000 yards that year and would have made a great running back for LSU. But Collins took a scholarship offer there so Woods went to USM the next year. Never got the chance to shine because he didn't fit the system and then he got hurt.

I never liked him as a quarterback either. He can go because, in my opinion, he doesn't deserve to take the helm of my National Champion Tigers!

Lastest polls from the media in Baton Rouge says 75% of the people want him gone. One tv station interviewed Tigers now playing in the NFL and they all said he's a disgraced and not what they built the program to be.

I don't have an opinion on RP's personal life; it is what it is. However, I think the team is coddling him some knowing that he's the only experienced QB LSU has for next year. Miles would be in a heap of shit for not taking at least an SEC title this year, and he knows that's an iffy proposition without a solid QB.

I do feel that, had he been a benchwarmer, he would have been dismissed from the team by now. I can't say if that's fair or not, I certainly don't have all the facts, however I strongly suspect he wouldn't have been suspended just for missing some team functions because his dad died. There speaks a slight question of why is that so bad that he got suspended, and indefinitely at that, rather than Miles simply telling him to take a week off and get his shit in one seabag.
