I'll be on I-95 heading back to Manassas during game 2 of the Caps-Philly series. Good luck to all of the Flyer fans, hope the Caps come out on top.

I missed the game, but understand that the Flyers completely shut Ovechkin down. See you Tuesday night.

Ovechkin completely shut himself down. He was out there skating around like he didn't know what to do. Don't know what was up with him but he needs to get his shite together or his season is going to be over real quick.

Everyone on the Caps skated as individuals, trying to make things happen on their own. Green made a couple costly give-aways trying to stickhandle past guys in neutral ice, and nobody looked for the easy pass, just lots of selfish play. Caps can play like a team, they had better start quick or Dustin is right on the money.

I'm thinking that the Caps have to win tonight or their playoff run will be cut short.

Down 3-1 after the first period. Goals 2 and 3 came within 17 seconds of each, both due to lousy defense and sloppy playing.

Seems like the Flyers adjusted well after Green's great game 1. In game 1 he was dekeing (sp) and the Flyer forwards were reacting and he was getting bye. Looks like they adjusted in game 2 and so far in game 3 letting him deke and stripping the puck when he comes by.

Speaking of young defensemen, Colburn's long outlet passes are killing the Caps . He sprung Briere's first goal with a long pass to Prospal. Game two he sprung Umburger. Hope they don't figure it out

4-2 now. Hopefully Timonen isn't hurt too bad (he's in for x-rays). That would be a big loss.

How about those Habs? What a game! The refs let them play for the most part. Carey Price records his first playoff shutout. Holy-moly what a goalie!

Sharks win it with 8 seconds left to even the series.

Anyone else feel like punching Dion Phaneuf in the beak?

At this point it doesn't look like this one is going to go past 5.

Re: NHL Playoff Pool

The Penguins are looking good, but then they beat an Ottawa team that has been terrible since Christmas. If it wasn't for their great start, the Senetors wouldn't have even made the playoffs. I really don't expect the Senetors to start the new season with Gerber and Emery in net.

The Devils are on the ropes, as are the Bruins. Montreal might send the Bruins to the golf course tonight.

I think the Flames are toast. They played so bad last game. 10 shots on net is terrible. San Jose has shown themselves to be a much better team. I believe the Flames would have needed to win the last game in order to win the series. They had the momentum going their way and San Jose wasn't really clicking, but they seem to be over the hump now.

Nashville is giving the Red Wings a run for their money.
