Danica Patrick actually won a race.

Patrick Carpentier ran across pit lane naked after a win last year. I think Danica needs to continue that tradition:



At least she had a good race. She came out after a pit stop and just started to pass cars. I guess they made the right adjustments. It was not like everyone in front of her crashed out. She drove a good race.

I cannot think of another sport where a woman has beaten a man on equal terms. Maybe Horse Racing if you count Jockeys.

Congrats to Danica although I still think that she is over rated. The only other sports that I can think of where men and women are on an equal footing are in the areas of competitive shooting and archery and bowling. I believe that in the equestrian events the teams are made up of men and women.

of course, driving a car, like bowling, and darts, and horseshoes, and jarts and pool, and golf and ....... is an activity, not a sport

Last week it was Danica and this week it was Ashley Force. And she beat her dad in the finals. She is hotter than Danica, but does not the Bikini stuff.



Bet A&E is wishing they were doing a third season of Driving Force now!!!

On Speed they said Danica had discussions with Roush Fenway Racing this week. I guess that will start talk of her going to NASCAR.

Now is Michelle Wie playing in next weeks PGA Event? They say things happen in threes.

No I was not asleep last year. I was passing on a specific discussion she had with a team she had last week. They have been talking about NASCAR for her for years.

Last year she was a novelty. She had not won any races. Any team signing her know it would be a publicity stunt. Even her win, while it was not a bad one, if Tony Kannan had a couple of more liters of Fuel, would have been a second place. But if she picks up a couple more wins, then a move to Nascar may not appear to be as much of a stunt.

Personally, I do not think she is as talented as her team mates. She is just more marketable due to her A-Cups and indoor plumbing. This years crop of open wheelers is not setting NASCAR on fire. But they are all much more talented than Danica. From a racing standpoint, moving her to NASCAR would be a mistake for a team. But from a marketing standpoint, for the right team, it probably would not be a bad one.

I personally like ashley way more than danica. But thats because I watch a lot more NHRA than indycar.
