Although these fellows were before my time, I have watched many a match by: Buddy Rogers, LOU THESZ, Killer Kowalski, Verne Gagne, and Bruno Sammartino. These are true legends in the industry and paved the way for the boys of today. If you ever get to see an old match of any of these guys, you are in for a treat.
Don't forget the Russian Nightmare Nakita Koloff, Mr Wrestling #2 and Tommy WILDFIRE Rich. I grew up on the same stuff. What I don't like about today's pro wrestling is that the storylines are WAY to predictable.

JYD was from Wadesboro, NC. That is about 40 min. from my house. He also went to school in Fayetteville, bout an hour away.

Sometimes I will go to a bar and watch PPVs, but theprice they want for them is crazy.

Found the results on the net. Looks like HHH is champion again. Jeff Hardy beat MVP.

It looks like Mick Foley is going to be an announcer on Smackdown. That will make the show a little better.

Re: Pro Wrestling Thread

Been watching since going to MSG to see Bob Backlund wrestle in the 70's.
With that said I haven't watched WWE for almost a year now.
I don't know what it is but I've lost interest in E (triple H champ again...ugh), in all these years they cannot find another upcoming person to be champ?
Though I am hooked on TNA, went to the Lockdown ppv 3 weeks ago and had a ball at Fanfest interaction.

Re: Pro Wrestling Thread

Love TNA and watch the various WWE products. I also watch the Mexican AAA shows, which can be fun... The NWA even has a tv show now. It's almost like watching the old NWA shows with Gordon Soley.

Re: Pro Wrestling Thread

I hated to hear about Triple H wining the belt, but maybe they will turn him heel again. Hate HHH as a face. Can't wait for Jeff Hardy to come back.

At least he waited several months to win it. But he can get boring quickly.

Supposedly Orton acted a fool again, which is why it happened.

I heard about that. He supposedly threw his room service food at a hotel employee. Later went on a rampage storming throughout the hotel. This was while they were overseas. Didn't he get in trouble at a hotel room on the last overseas tour?
I hope Triple H doesn't get to win that belt 16 or more times. He can't compare to Ric Flair and shouldn't be on the same pedestal. Not to take away from Hunter, he is very good at what he does.
