Yup our offensive line used to be the best in football. It turned a career backup in Priest Holmes into Gale Sayers; hell, Priest didn't even start at Texas, let alone in the NFL until he came to KC. Our line also turned an immobile, average-armed QB (Trent Green) into an all-pro by consistently giving him 6-8 seconds to throw the ball. It's too bad that we had the worst defensive line in football at the same time! I like Coach Herm though, the man can evaluate young talent, and I agree with his football philosophy (build through the draft, run the ball, and the o-line/d-line are the foundations for a strong club).

Re: NFL draft

wow, really surprised the Packers drafted Brohm and that he was around that late. Rodgers must not be too happy right now. I'm personally excited about it.

And on top of that they draft Matt Flynn. I know he doesn't get any love from the pro scouts and the media, but he did win a national championship. His biggest problem was sitting the bench behind Jamarcus Russell. I think he could surprise a few people in a couple of years. He's tough and he's smart. Sort of in the Brett Favre mold.

Yah, didn't expect them to draft a quarterback much less two. Now Rodgers must really not be happy..... prolly started training right after the draft

I am really happy they picked up Matt. GB has a history of good QB's as backups going to do well other places. Of course, they were all playing behind Brett, so it may be different. I hope and think he will do good in the NFL.

Re: NFL draft

Whooo! Brohm & Flynn in green & gold! I was surprised Chicago didn't pick up a QB at all...that might have been intelligent. I don't really care because if da Bears stink that typically means GB looks much better

Go Pack Go!!
