Re: Euro 08 Pool

Russians should have stayed home. Arshavin's stock just went down, A LOT, Spain dominated from the start, although I have to say that Fabregas' arrival really changed the game, IMO, good for Arsenal he decided to stick around. Have no idea what happened to Russians, they were lethargic.

Not sure who to call for in the final. I feel the size of Germans will give Spain a lot of problems, but I also still believe Spain's back 4 are the best in the tournament, by far. If Ballack, Podolski and Schweinsteiger decide to show up, then Germany should take it, no questions. Torres has been spending more time lying down than running, this is something new from him I have not seen in EPL, and I hope he stops this BS, now.

If anything I was appalled by referrying once again, nothing new here. Not that results would have changed, but it is crazy to see Spaniards going down after a slight touch, time and again, yet when Sychev broke free with a through pass and no defenders in front of him, all the ref did was call a foul (which was correct), but then failed to give a yellow card (at the least). With the score 2:0 at that point and a good chance to score for Russia, this was not just a "foul" to be called. Corner given where there was none, another corner not given even though most saw a fingertip touch to the ball...

I just hope the final will get a good ref.

Re: Euro 08 Pool

The ref is an Italian, can't remember his name... So it all comes down to Germany vs Spain. With Villa going down, I can't decide if Spain willl go run a single striker setup that tends to be what torres did best with in the EPL. but so far this Tourny Torres hasn't been quite up to par. It was a long season.. but We'll see. Germany hasn't seemed to inspired to me, save a few moments, but hopefully it will be a good game. I wonder what happend to david Villa, ankle? toe? knee?

to me- i looked like he came down a little early on his last free kick-but the way he walked off the field was odd- looked perfectly fine. ESPN is reporting a muscle strain and he will most likely miss Sundays game.

I didn't see him come off, but the way he sat there on the field was more like...damn can't believe I missed. Didn't seem like he was in pain or anything...

just my H.o. but I think it had something to do with the "stache" that lucaworthlesstoni was sporting against Spain... very panche-ish, i'm glad someone else saw it too.

There is an alogrythm built into the software that monitors highly rated players and gives them a nickname if they earn it. Pretty good AI!

pants = crap
'stache = mustache

poor guy picked a great time to go completely off the scoring track
