For those of us who's Double Point Team has been eliminated (everybody but theycallmedan'lboone and mastershogun, #1 and #2 respectively) how plausible is it that any of us overtake them without the possibility of double points? Put another way, do we still have a realistic shot?

Picking the winner is worth 12 but if you've picked Germany and the win, just about everybody gets those 12

yea, Netherlands looks like the top pick for the double points team, shall we send boone our cigars now or see it out as a formality?

I hate to say this, but it's far from over... with teams like Italy, Germany and Portugal still in it. Obviously the points were great for the Dutch winning again, but I guess time will tell if they should have eliminated Italy... I have some fear in the back of my mind... and I think a few of you know that I despise the Italians... more than I could EVER despise ManUre. I think it depends on how far the Netherlands take me and if Spain Win... If Oranje goes through to win, I've got it in the bag, as well if Espana wins out. However if Spain and Oranje don't make it to the next go round, I'm done like a thanksgiving turkey.

man, if russia takes out netherlands he is truely lucky guus!
To tell you the truth I did not know anyone on the russia squad but i knew the coach... he pulls off another great feat with taking out sweden. It would be a greater miracle than korea over italy but it would be awesome if netherlands fall to russia. Probably not going to happen but here's to hope!

I thought Russia a darkhorse to win it until, the day before the tournament, I found out Progrebniak did his knee and Arshavin was suspended for the first 2 matches. After learning that I thought they wouldn't make it out of their group but I forgot about the Guus factor I guess. I don't think they quite have the quality to hoist the trophy without Progrebniak but this game today was fantastic, they were typically zippy like past Hiddink machines.

I also don't think Germany look as good as I expected. Lowe was the brains and style behind Klinnsaman's success but apparently he doesn't have them believing in the tactics and themselves as Klinnsman did, witness Klose and Ballack.

The Dutch look unstoppable, if they get beat it'll have to be an ugly game. I'd love for the balls out attacking flair side to win it all for once.
