Ok, all things aside aren't the Olympics about non political athletes getting to go out and show their stuff to the world? Because of political BS I can't recall an Olympics since 1980 that someone hasn't been banned, or boycotted. Kind of takes the fun out of it. That they probably wouldn't medal doesn't matter, that they competed would.

Thank goodness it wasn't the Winter Olympics, I was looking forward to watching Iraq win the Gold in Men's Hockey.

Personally I think the IOC is a bunch of crap. They let Iraq participate when Udai Hussein (Saddam's son) sadistically tortured and killed athletes when they performed poorly. And NOW they're banned? Wtf
