Top 10 NOT in the NFL Hall of Fame

This was discussed on the radio yesterday and they started talking about why Ricky Jackson, the leader of the New Orleans Saints famous "dome patrol" defense. Jackson left the Saints and became a leader on the 49er's defense and was a starter there when they won a Superbowl.

His statistics are better than Fred Dean's and some of the other defensive players in the HOF. So why was is he left out?

What other players have been left out of the Hall of Fame who should be?

You could start the list with many AFL players who were looked upon as not worthy. There are two from the Patriots who belong, Gino Cappaletti and Stanley Morgan. Seems to me that the Chiefs and the Raiders would also have several. You could add to the list some modern era players such as Phil Simms. The list is endless.

There is also a show with this title on the NFL channel. I would have to say...my all-time favorite Redskin, Gary Clark. Compare his numbers with Michael Irvin and then tell me he doesn't deserve to be there.

At least today, to deserving Redskins are getting their due. Art Monk and Darrell Green are being inducted today. Green's first year of eligibility, Monk was long overdue!!

I dont like the election process at all. If a player is hof worthy just get him in. Its a bit like the pro bowl popularity contest. Small market teams are at a disadvantage. I also think that special temas players deserve more love.

In terms of my local team, Washington Redskins, Im pretty surprised none of the Hogs are in the HOF.
