That's messed up, and a serious amount of disrespect to everyone on the coach and athlete's part.

the training broke down somewhere along the lines there. I've trained in tae know do for over a decade and nothing like this should be condoned. It seems to me that the more competition focused you are in this the more likely the chance that something like this will happen

Video is now in the Yahoo! article http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/bei...urn=oly,102963

They claimed the match could not continue because he had a broken foot, looks like it was OK enough to kick the ref.

yea they took it down!! anyone else have another link?
he said he kicked him in the face for a bad call! took to much medical time lol supposedly a few competitors were claiming the judges were on the take, or trying to fix matches with bad calls. whatever. it's always funny when someone gets kicked in the face or headbutted for that matter. remember the world cup? zidan with the powerhouse headbutt!!! lol

totally uncalled for. It wasn't even in the heat of the moment or anything. Ban him.

No excuse for it. It should never happen. The 1 minute medical time-out was expired. Although there was no warning from the ref beforehand.

But if you followed wrestling and martial arts closely this Olympics, the officiating was terrible. The IOC recently changed alot of rules and the refs did not speak the language of the athletes. In several matches the athletes lost because of the inabilty to communicate. It truly was terrible. So sad to see athletes that train for years only to lose because of a rule change and no one around to explain it to them. Martial arts and wrestling were particularly bad. And I am not a homer talking about the athletes I like (USA). It was across all nations' athletes. Truly sad to see.

I watched live on the net virtually all the matches (I wreslted and 2 of my sons wrestle) and I can't begin to tell you how poorly ran the matches were. My own estimate is it determined the winner of at least 20% of the matches. The officiating should not dictate winners and medals.

I truly felt sad for athletes as their oppponents' hand was lifted and the look on their face was absolute confusion. In several instances the winner had the same look on his face. The winner had little or no idea why he won.

I look forward to the Olympics for 4 years until the next one. This one has taken away the magic.

yeah, what a bitch. Sore losers should not be allowed out of their cage. Then again, the official should have had some kind of martial arts background and defended himself!

He's brought great discredit to himself and his country. He will always be remembered as a poor sport and his countries reputation will reap the whirlwind for his actions.

The judges sucked throught the olympics...after banning somone in a medal fight you kind of have to expect SOME kind of retribution, whether you as a judge were right or wrong doesnt matter, that is a life changing decision. Sucks for the judge sucks for the coach and really sucks for the Competetor.
