The way Alabama played wasn't good enough to win the game offensively. The Alabama defense - with the help of "Let me throw it to the other team" Lee - is what really won the game for Bama.

I have no ill feelings for Alabama or Nick Saban. Saban IS one of the top college coaches working at this time. He may go on to be one of the best ever. I just think that LSU has some holes to fill on the team - primarily at the QB position and defensive coordinator slot - before they will be an elite team again.

I didn't even listen to the game after the first quarter. I checked the score at halftime and said that was it.

Imagine my surprise when I saw the news this morning. Someone must have called the Troy locker room at halftime and reminded them that they were supposed to lose.

yeah, I had to watch on the internet. Kept flipping back and forth to ESPNNEWS for video of it. I just hope we win out and get to a decent bowl (I am hearing cotton bowl, most likely). Whoever we play there, I hope the good LSU team shows up, or it is going to be a long day.

Are you guys hearing anything down there about sheppard or jefferson next year? Or do you think Lee will still be throwing pick sixes (unless he spends a lot of time in the offseason working on his game).

Most of what I've been hearing through the media is that Lee stands a good chance of being the starter next year. The feeling seems to be that he wasn't ready for prime time this year but he has potential to be as good as some of the QBs from the past five or six years (not counting the thug).

Jefferson wasn't ready, he played some, but he only knows 5-7 plays, unfortunatly, Troy knew them too. I know this may sound stupid, but Lee looked good, the last quarter, he looked to have the game under control. It was a shame that only about 1000 people got to see it in Tiger Stadium. Lee and Miles are taking some heat over the season thus far, but the kids didn't laydown like they could have. To me that shows something....yes it was Troy, but maybe, just maybe this is one of those turning points.

I think that is what is so perplexing about Lee. He will throw INT's one minute and then have an outstanding results the next. Only problem is, which one shows up. Maybe they should just play 2 minute offense from now on. LOL.

As far as them coming back, it seems like that is just their style. Everytime I get pissed about them being down at the half, my wife reminds me of all the times in the last few years that they came back and won.
