Congrats to the new F1 Drivers Champ!

Lewis Hamilton! (figured I better post it this way in case someone DVR'd it) ok, for all 5 of us Formula 1 fans in the US anyway. The race could not have went any better for my household.

My favorite team is the Ferrari, though my favorite driver is Hamilton. Yeah I know - in the middle of a big rivalry there.

My son's favorite driver is 'Massa' as he won the first race that we watched together.

So - Massa won the race, Hamilton won the drivers championship, and Ferrari the Constructors trophy.

All in one HELLUVA ending. I was second guessing that inter. tire strategy when it looked like Glock and his dry weather tires were going to be right in the way for Hamilton...

Anyway... something is about to get torched...

I was waiting for the FIA (Ferrarri International Assistance) to find a way to take points away from Hamilton. Those guys are more corrupt than NASCAR. When do they award Hamilton his trophy, did not see it after the race today?

yeah, he had some trouble getting the wheel back on before leaving the car after the race (even though the one in front of him caught on fire), it is against the rules for him to walk away without putting the wheel back on (which he ultimately did).

The trophy for drivers and constructors is given out at the FIA Prizegiving Gala (Awards Gala) which should be held in Monte Carlo. Not sure of the date for it, but I think it will be in Dec.

Bad day for me, not a fan of Hamilton, I think he is reckless and needed to prove himself more before getting a fancy ride. That said, the last 5 laps of the race rank as the best 5 laps I have ever seen. The championship won on the last corner, cannot beat that.
