UNC Charlotte Football
 they have approved to start a football program at UNC Charlotte. All I can say is "IT'S ABOUT TIME". I can only set and wait for 2013 but until then I'll just have to pull for NC State. This is a great day in history

Sorry Chad but nobody is going to care except UNCC alums and half of them won't.
 Seriously, they will be in a crap conference(Big South most likely), playing in a crap stadium(Memorial Stadium) and will have a tough time recruiting decent players when they can go right up the road to a proven winner in App St. Besides, if they were serious about major college sports, they would have done more for the basketball team instead of letting them dwindle into obscurity. |

Greg, all I can say is Bobby Lutz is my homeboy and if app. state soooooo good then why don't they step up in to the real league, they don't because they will be like Marshal. And the Michigan state game was a fluke, any body can get lucky.

Had to chime in on this....I'm a UNCC Alum. I think it's a pretty good move on the part of the university to finally make this happen. You're right NCRadioMan. We'll definitely be in a crap conference initially, but hey....we gotta start somewhere right? Hopefully the alums, students and community get behind this effort and make this a success. Hell.....if for nothing more than not having to travel more than an hour to tailgate at some OTHER school's football games
