So who want's Barry Bonds to come back this year (notice how much smaller this year since the steroids testing started), and who like me would hate to see someone with his attitude break Babe Ruth's home run number (only 6 behind, 7 to pass)

"I'm not playing baseball anymore after this," Bonds told USA TODAY in a telephone interview from his home in Beverly Park, Calif. "The game (isn't) fun anymore. I'm tired of all of the crap going on. I want to play this year out, hopefully win, and once the season is over go home and be with my family. Maybe then everybody can just forget about me."



and please goodnes forbid we ever see him break Hank Aaron's home run number (only 48 away)

wouldn't we rather see someone like Ken Griffey Jr break the record (maybe its just cause I am a little biased as a Reds fan)

I want to see him come back and break the record. Nothing has been proven that hes been on roids so as far as Im concerned its just speculation. Yeah granted he got pretty damn big since he left the pirates but hes always had a hard work ethic and for those guys putting on muscle is accessable with the top notch trainers, weight rooms, training programs they have in the show.

I suppose you still beleive in Sant Claus too. He pretty much was the center of the whole Balco Steroid Scandal. THe pictures do not lie:

If basball actually had a real testing program, then I am sure he would have been caught. I hope ne struggles and gets injured. This guy does noy deserve to be in the record book.

I went to a Marlins and Giants game two years ago when i was visiting my dad in Miami. I loved seeing Bonds go 0-5 that game. I hate his attitude, i hate what he has done to the game and i would love to see him leave and crawl under the Mark Mcgwire rock.

He went from having arms my size to Atlas sized guns It's funny though, look at a recent pic, his arms have gone down a bit after a year off roids.

Even if he was on roids, hes off them now and he still hits bombs. Look what he did last year after coming of the DL, 5 of his 12 hits were home runs.

It was all in the chemicals for him. Sure he probably could habve been a .300/25 HR/100 RBI guy, but he definately was a steroid user, even if he pretends to never asked what they were injecting him with. I hope the media rides him hard this year. He does not deserve any records, neither does Mac or Sosa.

I do not admire him at all, and the way Hank Aaron supports him is beyond me. He is not a sportsman nor a role model. Hopefully Pedro Martinez will throw one of wild pitches at him and call it an early season...

I am going to Say is I am a Bonds Fan. He has NEVER tested positive for the juice. And no matter how big your muscles are you still got have the hand eye coordination to hit the dang ball. Of course he has gotten smaller. He was injured all last year. Most people don't like him cause he doesn't talk to the media. Can you blame him the media sucks. Yes ,he is arrogant. Yes, he is a loner. and Yes, he is, and the numbers don't lie, the best modern day player in baseball other than Clemens. Who btw got much bigger also throughout his career. I like Ruth and Aaron but Ruth was a drunk who hit against a much lower standard of pitcher on a daily basis, but he still is one of the greatest of all time imo. Aaron was a superhuman player that played a long, long time, and at the end of his career he slowed drastically. He is Great imo. But Bonds is on a different level. 180-200 walks a year Steroids don't help Hand eye. Ok everyone give me hello for being a Barry fan now.

YES SIR- Finally someone who agrees with me, anyone who has played baseball, watches baseball and is a serious fan of the game knows how great those numbers he has put up over his career are. Not to mention he is the only member of the 500/500 club, for you that dont know that is 500hrs and 500 stolen bases. Hitting a 95mph fastball that is spotted perfectly on the outside corner and taking it the other way for a home run takes some serious talent. Any of you who spit about him being on roids just because the stupid fuc*ing media makes a big deal about it need to shut up and learn and study the game of baseball. Id like to see your ass step in a batters box and try to hit.

The Rocket is the begining and end in the pitcher dept for me! He's too good. Looks like Schilling is in good shape and I have big expectations.

I don't think anyone thinks Barry Bonds isn't talented. He was a hall of famer before the roids. He is one of the best players ever. But the crazy home run numbers he put up after he added the 50 lbs of muscle and inflated his head, all in his late 30s, may have had something to do with the roids. Knowing what Henry Aaron had to go through while breaking that record and then seeing a "cheater" break that record would be sad. I'm a fan of baseball, I played baseball, and oh yeah, you can shut the f up.
