Re: Who's a member of RED SOX Nation?

I love the Red Sox. Nothing beats sitting out in my back yard on a summer evening with the game on the radio, a good cigar and an adult beverage.

This years team will certainly be different. Imagine, we are actually going to have pitching! As for that team that wears pinstripes, they do not have the pitching this year and pitching wins in the long run. Johnny, Alex and all of them can have great years, but their pitchers are getting old and ultimately that will hurt them

Pavano, Johnson, Mussina, Small, Chacon, Wright, Rivera, Dotel, Farnsworth, Myers, Wang, Sturtze, and Villone. No pitching you say!? Better pitching and hitting than the bosux.

What's the word on whether the Rocket is coming back to Boston?

I may be jumping on the RedSox bandwaggon because of Papelbon. He is a fellow Mississippi State Alumnus. I like to see all of them do good in the respective sports. Plus, he is an awesome pitcher.

its very unlikely he will come home to Boston. we are trying to get him to come back but in reality he might retire after the WBC and if he doesnt he wants to be close to home in Houston to keep watch over his family and his son who is in the astros organization.

Re: Who's a member of RED SOX Nation?

You can't honestly tell me that Pavano, Wright and Sturtze are gonna matter for the Yanks. As for Johnson, he's ready for the meltdown and Mussina has seen his better days.

As for Damon, the Yanks got a great leadoff hiter, but are gonna have to employ a double cutoff to deal with his weak arm. The Boss paid him way too much.

As for the Sox, Schilling is a question mark, Wells will be gone but young arms like Papelbon, Beckett and Arroyo willlead the way. Wakefield hasn't even reached his prime yet, give him till he's 45 then talk about age.

DelCarmen and Hanson in the pen along with Tavarez picked up as free agent from the Cards, and a lefty named Jon Lester are to be watched closely. Lester will be a premier southpaw in this league for years to come.

Stick a fork in the Yankees, they're done.

Some old guys, some no names, and a few average pitches and your excited? Clemens first year in pinstripes wasn't great, but after that he got hot. I expect the same from Randy and Pavano. Not to mention Chacon, Wang, and Small were all solid last year. Yankees have a much better pen. And the Yankees can produce loads more runs than the bosux, so even if the pitches are off we still have a chance. And at least the Yankees don't have a brand name cereal playing center

This is gonna be a great year for Yankee fans

I am still laughing.

Say what anyone may want to say, it is sure great to be a Yankees fan.

I don't think anyone has brought it up so I will.
Sure great to have an owner willing to pay whatever it takes to win.
Ha! There, I said it.

That's why some people hate the Yanks. George cares more about his fans than any other owner in baseball. Every year he puts out a solid team that always competes. No other team can boast that.

Yankees in 06!

Thanks for the new backround Thurm
