Bama In the Tournament!

Well, as of yesterday or even up until just prior to today's game versus #9 Florida, Alabama's basketball postseason was looking like gigantic question mark. After taking down the #8 Tennessee Vols a week ago, the future for the Tide was looking bright. However, the VERY close loss to a tough Arkansas Razorbacks team in Fayetteville this week brought strom clouds into the bright blue sky over Tuscaloosa. So, when the Gators walked into T-Town this Sunday afternoon we knew it was do or die. IF we beat Florida, we should be in for sure. We knew it wasn't going to be easy. We knew we'd have to play our hearts out. And that is exactly what we did. Florida NEVER lead the Tide, although they were tied once early in the first half. The Gators mounted an attempt to go ahead about half way through the second half but Bama wasn't having any of that and quickly shot the lead back up to 7 and more. The Tide finished the game on top 82-77. Sending the over-rated Gators to their third straight loss.

There is still a teeny-tiny, small question as to whether or not the Tide will get into the tournament but winning either of the remaining regular season will make it a lock for sure. Personally I think that knowcking off two Top 10 teams within a week of each other and the third straight victory over a ranked team should be enough but who can tell the future?

I think they are in. I don't know who they play Wednesday but they play at Miss. State Saturday. Even with State plying better these days I think Alabama wins it.

Bama is in. It's pretty much certain that the top six SEC teams will go the the tourney - Florida, Tenn, Ala, Arkansas, LSU, Kentucky. See you bums in Nashville first, though

Yep. Glad Nashville has tourney this year. Atlanta sucks for travel, and I have a sister just outside of Nashville I can crash with!!

Should be an interesting re-match if Alabama and Arkansas go at it again!!

they had some promise at the beginning of the year. then the 6 conference losses in a row kinda hurt em. i really like grier though.

Yea the kids got skills too bad he is a senior and outta here. The trick is keeping the young up and coming talent from leaving.

I sure hope my Cats can make it. This has been one hell of a sucky season for them. I think they will make it but not the higher seeds that we normally get
